About Bangladesh Palliative and Supportive Care Foundation
Bangladesh Palliative and Supportive Care Foundation is a private, not-for-profit community-based organization that provides comprehensive, compassionate care to persons who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We also provide health care services and counseling for children and adults.
Our mission is to provide integrated high quality Palliative and Supportive care for adult and children and their families at inpatient, homecare, day-care, out patients and hospitals.
We care primarily for our patients but their care givers are also provided counselling services alongside. In 2010, Bangladesh Palliative and Supportive Care Foundation was established to provide around the clock care. Dr. Rumana Dowla is the Founder and Chairperson of BPSCF whose vision is to create a Palliative Care Service which is culturally acceptable, appropriate, sustainable and affordable for the people of Bangladesh. Over the years we have expanded our services, as a team approach, for the patients and their carers to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life at any age, at any stage and in any context.
