Voices for the hospices 2017

|15 October, 2017|

Older people with life-limiting conditions are missing out on vital care and support because of a lack of access to palliative care services.

On October 14, 2017 over 70 countries around the world will be joining together to celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. The theme this year was ‘Palliative care and Universal Health Coverage: Don’t leave those suffering behind’.

To ensure all people with life-limiting conditions are cared for with dignity and according to their wishes, Bangladesh Palliative and Supportive Care Foundation came forward and called for palliative care to be integrated into national and community health systems around the world. A human chain was organized by BPSCF in front of National Press Club in Dhaka on October 14, 2017 marking the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.
