Keeping the fight alive, BrEAsT Cancer awareness is what we strive.

On 13th October, 2018 during the eve of Breast cancer awareness month and World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, Bangladesh Palliative and Supportive Care Foundation (BPSCF) went to the community for disseminating awareness among the women at a free primary school at Banani Chairmanbari.

 

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer among the women of Bangladesh. With a vision to reduce the risk of breast cancer among women, BPSCF in collaboration with Rotary Club of Dhaka MahaNagar, ACI Limited and Inner Wheel Bangladesh arranged the awareness program for the mothers of the children who studies at Banani free primary school. Dr. Rumana Dowla, founder of BPSCF, chaired the session and talked about the five steps of self-breast examination, the causes of breast cancer and how the risk of breast cancer can be reduced. The awareness session helped the women to understand any symptom if they have any.
